Regional Business Development Manager(VIANT)

This role owns and is fully accountable for new business growth for VIANT across APAC, with a primary focus on China and Southeast Asia, and supporting responsibility for India and Japan in close collaboration with local teams.
The role translates the global VIANT strategy into clear regional execution, drives new applications and customer wins, and delivers profitable growth and financial KPIs.
General Description:
1. Execute the global VIANT strategy and translate it into regional go to market and execution actions
2. Identify and develop new applications, customers, and market segments across APAC
3. Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive profitable sales growth and achieve financial KPIs and OKRs (including net sales, margin, and portfolio profitability)
4. Identify cross-selling opportunities and perform structured market intelligence and competitive analysis
5. Lead customer trials, product approvals, and market launches in close coordination with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain
6. Drive scale up and localization readiness, including production capability and localization
7. Support sales in building the new business pipeline from opportunity identification through new product commercialization; build strategic partner relationships (customers, equipment suppliers, coating partners, industry associations)
8. Maintain active communication with regional stakeholders, manage strategic customer relationships, and proactively update stakeholders on critical business or market changes
9. Act as a role model for safety, compliance, performance culture, and diversity & inclusion
