Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: % of Time for each must total 100% · Identify/analyze the design requests, draft design strategy and feasibility studies. · Electrical(system level) / Electronics(PCBA level) – E&E design activities for new equipment · Design activities for ESR – Engineering Specials Request · Test tooling/fixture design / optimization. 15% 50% 25% 10% Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Make sure customer’s requirements, identify design purpose, strategy and solution, feasibility studies analysis. SCH design for both PCBA and system level, PCB layout for new product or ESR per related compliance standards. Design assessment to feasibility of process industrialization for both PCBA and system before making prototype. Identify, analyze and resolve deficiencies and challenging problems during product development process using simulations, prototype testing, and feasibility studies. Work cross-functionally with different teams, organize technical meeting with internal, international team or customer to move forward the E&E works. E&E support for industrialization to conform to the standards and new product’s requirements, including continue improvement. Design or improve jig / fixture for production and testing. Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. Sustain Engineering support on existing products manufacturing – optimization, trouble shooting, localization, ECN, BOM, schematic, drawing, datasheet etc. Be able to choose alternative for standard parts / off shelf parts, test and qualify the feasibility, such as electrical component, PCBA and cable etc.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor degree or above in electronics / electrical / automation engineering, Mechatronics. Above 8 years’ experience on electronics design (with limited electrical design would be necessary) for equipment, automation integration, or functional test equipment development. Design experience on plasma or RF power system related will be preferred. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Rich experiences on non-standard automated equipment’s E&E design / production release / test / troubleshoot. Good knowledge to implement compliance standard, such as RoHS, CE, uL, CSA etc. during development process. Rich experiences to solve electrical / electronics problems for board or system integration level during manufacturing. Experienced with electrical components such as circuit breaker, relay, sensor, servo motor, linear motor, solenoid valve etc. Rich experiences on circuitry components and integrated circuits, analog and digital computers, processors, FPGA, CPLD and associate firmware, and power electronics. Good skills in analysis of schematic and pneumatic diagram, improvement, PCB layout, cable drawings update base on CAD software, such as Altium. Good knowledge in PLC programming and motion control, HMI's, Labview development. Familiarity with BOM, ECN/ECO ERP system for design documentation and release. Familiarity of ERP systems, Efacs, SAP etc. Fluent English, both written and spoken. Hardworking, self-motivated, self-discipline, self-learning, and works well under pressure. Good interpersonal, communication problem-solving skill as well as strong team work spirit. Able & willing to travel Domestically and Internationally
