Senior Licensing Manager

Primary Responsibilities: • Search out potential licensees through public data and third-party data. • Send letters to potential licensees, ensuring they understand Via’s licensing process, providing assistance, and keeping them informed of the status. Gather information required to evaluate potential licensees, including information about intended products, company structure, government registration, financial reports, technical capabilities, and product schematics. • Conduct daily calls or in-person meetings with potential licensees, filter opportunities, negotiate, and close deals with licensees who are willing to proceed with the Via pool. • Engage in sanctioned litigation activities in the region, including providing the legal consultant with information regarding local Chinese laws. • Attend and contribute to licensing meetings. • Liaise with other VIA Licensing offices where necessary. • Develop the necessary understanding of VIA LA licensed technologies and licensing procedures. • Perform duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Education & Skills: • Master’s degree or equivalent; major in law preferred. • Experience in the intellectual property field preferred. An interest in technology, semiconductors, and data centers would be an advantage. • Working proficiency in both English and Chinese, with good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. • Good organizational skills. Advanced use of PC software, including MS Office. Critical attention to detail and research skills required. • Ability to be proactive, work on own initiative and to deadlines, as well as work as a member of a small but dynamic team. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
