Job Summary: % of Time for each must total 100% · Plasma application requirement analysis, identify customer technical specifications. · Plasma process application development. · Support on new plasma system integration design. · System integration and volume production introduction of plasma equipment. · DOE（Design of Experiments）development and implementation for the customers’ new application 20% 30% 20% 10% 20% Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: DOE performing with identifying customers’ technical specifications and determine what documentation is required to incorporate the organization's products into customer applications. Develops test applications used for testing modules, including customer-specific components. Work cross-functionally with different teams and organizations to get any issue resolved. Engage customers on process requirements (cleaning, activation, de-oxidation, flux residue removal, etching) and define process windows, treatment areas and acceptance criteria. Develop plasma processes and optimize parameters, create different recipes with gas O2/H2/N2/Ar/CF4/SF6/etc. by using DOE methodology to establish process models linking power, impedance matching, gas mix and flow, treatment distance, speed and dwell time. Evaluate treatment results using diagnostics and analysis: dyne level/contact angle and surface energy measurement, adhesion testing, FTIR, XPS analysis and surface composition analysis; diagnose process drift and anomalies. Lead on-site installation, process commissioning and customer training; resolve treatment uniformity and stability issues in volume production. Partner with R&D and product management, feeding process requirements back to drive product iteration and standardized process packages.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor degree or above in Materials Science and Engineering / Plasma Physics / Vacuum Science and Technology / Electrical(High-voltage system) / Mechatronics. 6 years above experience on research, application process, equipment development for plasma surface treatment. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Rich knowledge the parameters for plasmas with different process gas, apply to use for different application scenarios. Good knowledge in the principle of generating for plasma with different process gas, not limited to O2/H2/N2/Ar/CF4/SF6. Rich experiences on working with customer to identify their technical / application requirements, application recipe configuration for review and approval. Good skills in developing a new application recipe with various process gas to meet technical requirements from customer’s or new equipment performance. Familiarity with at least one plasma technology (ICP, CCP, RF, microwave, DC) and its power supply and impedance matching principles. Knowledge of gas delivery and flow control (MFC) and vacuum systems; capable of plasma diagnostics and statistical analysis of process data. Familiarity with surface energy/wettability, uniformity and adhesion evaluation methods. Rich experiences on the various methodology and instruments for DOE implementation. Familiarity with CAD software support on new product or ESR development. Fluent English with both written and spoken for engagement with overseas customers and headquarters; willing to travel for on-site support. Preferred: Plasma application experience in semiconductor, PCBA, flat panel display or battery manufacturing. Familiarity with associated national/internation standards about Plasma industry - not limited to ISO/CE/SEMI/UL/etc. Good interpersonal, communication problem-solving skill as well as strong team work spirit.
