Key Responsibilities & Work Activities
Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with global and regional objectives. Coordinate sourcing strategies for raw materials from Southeast Asian countries, China and other regions to ensure stable supply and cost optimization.
Contract Management: Negotiate, manage, and update all procurement contracts (including toll manufacturing agreements, supplier service contracts, and supply agreements) to meet Thailand’s operational requirements, ensure compliance with local laws, and mitigate contractual risks.
Supplier Management: Manage the Thailand supplier portfolio, including local, regional suppliers and international suppliers; negotiate favorable terms, ensure supplier sustainability, and conduct regular performance evaluations to secure competitive advantages and ensure supply continuity of raw materials from various source regions.
Internal Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal departments (production, operations, finance) across Thailand to address supplier performance issues, align procurement policies with local organizational goals, and ensure procurement solutions meet internal customer needs.
Team Leadership & Performance: Lead and mentor the local procurement team in Thailand, set clear performance objectives, guide the execution of strategic plans, and ensure team goals are achieved in line with global and regional targets.
Budgeting & Sourcing: Develop and manage Thailand’s purchasing budget, analyze local and international market data, price trends, and supply chain risks to inform cost-effective sourcing decisions, optimize procurement costs, and support profitability goals.
Local Market Alignment: Stay updated on Thailand’s procurement regulations, market trends, and industry developments; leverage local market insights to optimize sourcing strategies and build strong relationships with key local suppliers.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive procurement and contract negotiation experience, preferably within the Chemical Industry. Experience managing procurement operations in Thailand is highly preferred.
Certification/Training: Successfully completed NEVI 2 (or equivalent procurement/supply chain training programs recognized in Thailand or internationally).
