Job Overview As a global leader in optical modules, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal System Test Engineer to join our R&D team. This role will focus on building and optimizing evaluation environments for 800G/1.6T high-speed optical modules, targeting switches and network interface cards (NICs). You will play a pivotal role in validating product performance, driving certification success, and fostering technical collaboration with key switch vendors. Your expertise in SERDES technology and high-speed optical module certification will directly contribute to our market-leading product portfolio. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end evaluation environments for 800G/1.6T optical module testing against switches and NICs, covering system configuration, hardware integration, and software deployment. • Develop comprehensive test cases, automation scripts (Python/Perl/Scripting), and test procedures aligned with industry standards (IEEE, MSA) and specification of major Hyperscalers • Execute manual and automated tests, monitor test execution, troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SERDES interfaces, high-speed signal integrity, and protocol compliance. • Generate standardized, data-driven test reports with clear conclusions and actionable insights to support product validation, certification, and commercialization. • Leverage in-depth knowledge of mainstream SERDES chips (e.g., Broadcom, Intel, Marvell) to optimize test coverage and resolve interoperation challenges between optical modules and switches/NICs. • Lead technical communication and collaboration with switch vendors (e.g., Cisco, Arista, HPE) to address compatibility issues, align test methodologies, and drive product interoperability. • Participate in high-speed optical module certification projects (800G/1.6T), ensuring compliance with industry specifications and customer-specific requirements. • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, hardware engineering, and software teams to define test strategies, refine product specifications, and accelerate time to-market. • Maintain and update the knowledge base of System-level failures/issues found during product qualification and track the status of the corrective action implementation. Continuously improve test efficiency, automation coverage, and evaluation environment reliability by introducing best practices and innovative technical solutions

职位要求

Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in switch/NIC testing, proficient in the SONiC system on multiple brand switch box, with a focus on high-speed optical module (800G/1.6T) evaluation and validation. • Deep knowledge of Ethernet protocols, high-speed signal integrity principles, and optical module test methodologies (BER, eye diagram, power consumption, etc.). • In-depth understanding of mainstream SERDES chips (architecture, signal integrity, protocol features) and hands-on experience in SERDES-based high-speed interface testing. • Proven track record in high-speed optical module certification (e.g., IEEE 802.3, OSFP, QSFP-DD MSA) and familiarity with industry-standard test tools (e.g., VIAVI, Spirent, Ixia, Anritsu etc.). • Proficiency in test automation script development (Python/Perl) and experience in building standardized test frameworks for high-speed communication products. • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with switch vendors, internal teams, and global stakeholders; outgoing personality preferred. • Fluent in spoken and written English (must be able to conduct technical discussions, write reports, and negotiate with international vendors independently). • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
