The candidate is responsible to design the test processes from Alpha to mass production, and qualify the test system, prepare the test documents, improve the test ***/cum yield which finally meet the Coherent new product phase targets. At the same time, the candidate is able to create and maintain the product BOM and implement the different customized requirements. We expect the candidate is better to have some design knowledge in circuit and also basic optical design. The product engineer will cooperate with hardware designer, firmware, process, mechanical engineer, OSA designer, production NPI/MFG engineer, supply chain, FAE, RSM and PLM etc. Coherent is looking for highly motivated individual who is a self-starter with dedication to teamwork. The candidate is responsible to coordinate, understand the electronics hardware development involving high speed digital design activities to better support the design and project team for the test solution definitions, module debugs and issue detections. Travel up to 10% is anticipated. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Project contribution 80% 1) EVT phase a) TRD (Test Request Document) release in Agile b) Test specfile revA00 release in Agile c) BOM initial release in Agile d) SBR Summary Report 2) DVT phase a) Test specfile update to include tuning & data collection feature b) ECO submit for BOM update c) SBR Summary Report d) FA Report & Debug Tree release in Agile e) FPY >25%, CUM >70%, CPK >0.7 f) SPVT/FW PVT request submit and tester debug g) Review slides submit including cost model h) Mini-PIP ECO release within 4 weeks 3) MVT phase a) TTR (Test Time Reduction) plan proposal to NPI team b) FPY>40%, CUM>85%, CPK>1 c) Support QA team to do FA and generate RMA report 4) Summarize and analyze a) Summarize the problem-solving experiences with data b) Analyze the result and provide the expertise or solutions 5) Independent and timely a) Prompt feedback to the NPI team’s questions b) Able to support a product platform or variations Team contribution 20% a) Training new PEs and conduct the specific task for team contribution b) New test solution investigations. c) ECO peer review

职位要求

Education & Experience a) BS degree and above in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineer, Communication Engineering, Physics or relevant majors. Advanced educational qualifications will be a plus. b) 6+ years of experience for BS degree or 3+ years of experience for MS degree in the related research and development job. c) Programing ability of Python, C/C++ is a plus d) Designer or test engineer on optical communication industry or familiar with transceiver design and testing is a plus.
