职位描述
1) Product Architecture & Physical Partitioning (Wt %: 30%)
• Be responsible for new technology, new material, and new process introduction. • Leading the brainstorming and initial studies to identify possible ways of designing a low-cost high-performance product suitable for high volume manufacturing by material evaluation in early product design phase. Be constant attention on new technology, new materials, and new process craft of optical industry. Innovative ability, lead and implement the new study of the creative things, apply patents to keep Finisar in front of industry level.
2) Material & Implementation (Wt %: 35%)
complete internal material reviews according to Design Process prior to exit of each NPI phase. Communicate with Coherent IPO to identify suitable vendors for the material introduction and maintenance.
3) Material Design Verification (Wt %: 15%)
• Do necessary engineering analysis, simulations and testing in all NPI phases to validate the material/process. Leading and handling the material test for design validation and failure analysis. Including material verification, process verification.
4) Product Release (Wt %: 20%)
Technique support for manufacturing plant to resolve the material related questions in the production line, to make the mass building be in a good situation.
职位要求
Education:
• BS/MS Degree in Material Engineering
Experience:
• BS with at least 8 years of relevant experience or MS with at least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Job Skills and Requirements:
• Knowledge/experience in polymer matrix and the related performance. • Proficiency with plastic/rubber material and functional material. • Expertise in molding/forging/forming process is preferred. • Be good at failure analysis, be familiar with TGA, FTIR, EDX, TEM, DMA, TMA test. Excellent communication, planning, organizational, & interpersonal skills

• Eager to learn fresh things and to dig deeper about the trend of industry development, new technology, new materials, and new process craft of optical industry. Be good at digest new things and use them in the product designing. Be good at innovative and creative thinking. Performance orientation, order of priority, be good at arrange the resource to resolve the cases according to relative importance and urgency.
