职位描述

This position will perform as optical designer for optical transport line card products and key component owner used in the design. He or she needs to be responsible for the optical design of optical transport sub-system or opto-electronic modules such as EDFAs/OCMs/OTDRs. As a key member of the product development group, he or she will also be responsible for analyzing and responding to customer and marketing requirements and supporting manufacturing in originating and improving processes. As the component owner, he or she needs to define performance requirements and execute introduction verifications

职位要求

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Product development – 70%  Responsible for optical modeling, optical design and design review, ODVT.  Do optical response in RFI/RFQ.  Develop new optical components’ specification and verification requirements.  Work with NPI team to transfer design to manufacture. Legacy Sustaining – 10%  Take ownership technical approval on components’ PCN.  Take technical ownership on optical components’ introduction in related products for cost reduction.  Support and complete technical issues, RMA from manufacture of legacy products. Technics development – 20%  Investigate new micro-optical integrated modules or EDFA related optical techniques;  Provide supports on feasibility study on these new techniques based on current designs; Education & Experience  BSc/MSc in Optics, Electro-optics, Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background required. More than 5 years of experience in optical simulation and design in integrated sub-system including Terminal card, In-Line card, ROADM card.  More than 10 years of experience in optical simulation and design in optical functional modules including EDFA/OCM/OTDR.  More than 10 years of experience in key optical components used in transport systems including WSS/OSC, etc.  More than 8 years of experience in product PLC process and work with NPI/OPS team for new product transfer and release in infeed factory or external CM.
